Sorry about last week everyone – we had a computer problem in school and I was unable to get the newsletter finished at the usual time.  I did eventually manage to email it out on Friday evening but then I forgot to upload it to the blog and website……very sorry and thanks to Elizabeth’s mum for the reminder.

I wanted to let you all know about a problem which seems to be happening in the Bradford district at the moment.  One of our parents had her car number plates stolen from outside her house at the weekend.  We understand that criminals are using them on their own cars to steal petrol. 

On Saturday, 12th March, the police will be at Wilsden Village Hall from 10am – 12 noon and will replace the screws on your car number plate for tamper proof ones free of charge.  Make sure you go along if you are at all worried.

Thursday the 3^rd March 2011 is World Book Day and we will be celebrating this in school by dressing up as our favourite character from a book – even the school adults are getting involved!  There will be special activities taking place throughout the day including a special themed school lunch. 

We are also holding a World Book Day Book Swap – one for children and one for adults too!  Taking part is simple – children are asked to bring a good quality book that they have already read; this can then be swapped for one that they haven’t read yet!  We would also like to encourage parents and guardians to take part in an adult book swap. This will be held from 3:00pm in school on World Book Day to allow you to exchange books before you collect your children.  Please send books into school on Monday 28^th February for both of these book swaps and you will be given a special ticket which can be exchanged for a book on World Book Day.

Salut!  I am having a fabulous time in france!   I am in a school where the playground backs on to the mountains.  The children are really friendly and ce matin, je joue au foot avec les garcons!   I cant wait to tell you all about it and show you all my photos.
